THE PLANNING GUIDE

A little planning.
A better outdoor space.

You don’t need all the answers before speaking to us. Start with these three things.

01

The way you’ll use it

Dining, lounging, cooking or parking. Note the times the space feels too hot, bright or exposed.

02

A sense of the space

A few photos, approximate width and depth, and any available plans. Measurements are checked before specification.

03

Your priorities

Adjustable shade, continuous cover, privacy, appearance, budget or timing. Decide what matters most to you.

BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Understand
the whole project.

What affects the quotation?

The selected system, size, configuration, foundations, access, shipping, electrical work and accessories all affect cost. Confirm inclusions, exclusions and currency in the written quotation.

What about coastal exposure?

Discuss salt exposure, wind conditions, drainage and maintenance access at the site assessment. Ask for current product documentation and a design appropriate to the location.

Will approvals be needed?

Requirements depend on the site and the proposed work. Confirm the process, responsibilities and documentation before installation. Manufacturer product approvals do not replace local project approvals.

How should I plan the timing?

Allow for assessment, design, any required approvals, ordering, shipping, site preparation and installation. Ask for a project-specific programme.

What should I receive at handover?

Request operating instructions, care guidance, written warranty terms and the local service contact. For motorised systems, ask for a demonstration and the specified weather operating procedures.
